New Wheat Cross Combination Boosts Grain Yield for Better Food Security!
The researchers used a biometrical technique to select the best combinations of wheat genotypes for different sowing conditions. They crossed 10 different wheat lines to create 45 new F1 plants and found that the combination of HD2967 and K0307 produced the highest grain yield per plant. This suggests that these two genotypes are well-suited for producing wheat in various sowing conditions.
