Paper Summary

The Otogo tidal flat in the Yoshii River estuary has shrunk due to construction, so researchers found a new site for creating a similar tidal flat. They studied the physical environment of the Otogo tidal flat and identified a promising location 2 km upstream. By replenishing sediment and building groynes, they found that the new site can withstand floods just like the Otogo tidal flat.
