European economies prove economic growth can reduce construction waste pollution
The study looked at whether the relationship between a country's wealth and the amount of construction waste it produces follows a specific pattern. By analyzing data from 27 European countries, the researchers found that as a country gets richer, it tends to produce more construction waste, but only up to a certain point. After reaching a certain level of wealth, the amount of construction waste generated starts to decrease. This suggests that there is a link between economic development and construction waste management. The findings support the idea that as countries become wealthier, they may be better able to manage their construction waste in a more sustainable way.
