The goal of the research was to find the best routes for garbage trucks to collect waste in a city in Egypt, to reduce pollution and costs. Using a mapping tool, different collection scenarios were tested to see which one was most efficient. The results showed that the new system reduced the time it took to collect the waste by 26.5%. However, because more trucks were needed, the distance they traveled increased by 90%.
