New method eliminates need for assumptions in decision-making process.
A decision-making method for Dempster-Shafer theory was developed by Thomas M. Strat, where choices are ranked based on expected utility intervals. The parameter rho is used to determine the preferred choice when intervals overlap. By assuming a uniform probability distribution for rho, the most preferable choice can be discerned without making unwarranted assumptions. This approach helps in decision-making when multiple decision makers are involved.
