Budget deficits and current account deficits in Indonesia have been happening at the same time since 2012. This study looked at data from 1990 to 2019 to see how the budget deficit and current account deficit are related. They found that there is a connection between the two deficits, both in the short term and long term. In the 1990s, there was no clear link between the budget and current account deficits, but from 2000 to 2019, Indonesia's deficit budget system showed a balance relationship between the two deficits.
