The study looked at the cleanliness of butcheries in Kampala, Uganda. They found that many butcheries had cracked walls and damaged floors. Most used tap water, but few had soap for hand washing. Only some had waste storage and personal protective wear. The study showed that the sanitation and hygiene in the butcheries were poor, suggesting a need for better measures to prevent meat contamination.
