New study reveals key to traffic flow efficiency in complex networks!
Congestion games on networks with multiple start and end points can have unique equilibrium flows under certain conditions. By studying bidirectional rings, researchers found that only nine specific networks and their variations have this uniqueness property. For other bidirectional rings, different cost functions can lead to multiple equilibrium flows. The study also identified networks that will always have unique equilibrium flows, regardless of the start and end points chosen.
