Increasing channel uncertainty leads to more efficient communication systems with higher rates.
Decentralized power allocation for maximizing data rates in a noisy communication channel can be improved by considering uncertainty in the channel. A new method called robust rate-maximization game has been developed to find the best power allocation strategy. By increasing the uncertainty in the channel, the system can achieve a more efficient equilibrium, leading to better overall data rates. This improvement is observed in systems with multiple users as well.
