The article shows how certain voting rules can be seen as methods for dividing resources fairly. Different voting rules lead to different fair division methods. For example, Proportional Approval Voting uses the D'Hondt method, and Monroe's rule uses the largest reminder method. The study also identifies voting rules that meet specific fairness criteria.
