Dynamic Shading Systems Revolutionize Office Comfort, Slashing Glare and Boosting Daylight in Hot Climates
The study evaluated daylight and glare quality in office spaces with different shading systems in a hot arid climate. By simulating the spaces with different facade types, the researchers found that the dynamic shading system reduced sunlight exposure by up to 10% and increased daylight autonomy by 60% or more. The dynamic system also maintained visual quality with Daylight Glare Probability values of 0.38. Overall, the dynamic shading system improved flexibility in controlling daylight and glare, enhancing visual comfort and meeting LEEDv4 standards.
