Optimizing Wheat Fertilization Boosts Crop Yield and Nutrient Uptake Levels
The study looked at how different levels of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium affect wheat growth and nutrient uptake. By testing various combinations of these nutrients, the researchers found that higher nitrogen and potassium levels led to increased wheat yield and nutrient concentrations. Specifically, using 125 kg of nitrogen and 50 kg of potassium per hectare resulted in the highest grain yield. Nitrogen and phosphorus were mainly found in the wheat grain, while potassium was more abundant in the straw. This information can help farmers determine the amount of nutrients needed for optimal wheat growth and harvest.
