Estuaries are important ecosystems that need to be protected. This study looked at the boundaries of two estuaries in Indonesia by studying the saltiness of the water. They found that the Cimandiri Estuary has three different saltiness zones, mainly affected by the season, tides, and currents. In contrast, the Cisadane Estuary's saltiness is influenced by the season, currents, tides, and freshwater from the land. The researchers used satellite imagery to analyze the estuaries and understand how these factors interact to shape the environment.
