Earthworms and nanoparticles reduce diesel contamination in soil by 50%.
Researchers used cow dung and ZnO nanoparticles to clean up diesel-contaminated soil with the help of earthworms. They found that soil with earthworms had lower diesel levels compared to soil without them. After 70 days, the diesel concentration decreased by almost 50%.
