Future climate change to decrease snowmelt runoff in Northeast China.
The SWAT model was improved to better simulate snowmelt runoff in Northeast China using remote sensing data. By adjusting the temperature index method and incorporating total radiation, the model showed more accurate results for future snowmelt runoff under different climate change scenarios. The study found that snowmelt runoff is expected to decrease in the coming years, providing valuable insights for managing water resources in seasonal snowmelt areas.
