Selangor Faces Looming Water Crisis as Demand Outpaces Supply by 2050
Water scarcity is a big problem in Selangor, Malaysia due to high demand and limited fresh water sources. The polluted rivers cause frequent water supply issues. By 2050, the projected water demand will exceed the current supply by 2,044 million liters per day. This study used existing data to calculate future water needs and identified a significant water deficit that needs to be addressed for sustainable water management in Selangor.
