Policies Crucial to Tackle Malnutrition Crisis in Sub-Saharan Africa
Sub-Saharan African countries face challenges in food production and consumption, leading to malnutrition. Governments have implemented policies to improve nutrition outcomes, but malnutrition still persists. To address this, evidence-based policies are crucial. Solutions to undernutrition and obesity involve agriculture, rural development, and public health sectors. This study analyzes 8 policy domains to understand how policies impact food security and nutrition outcomes. The findings suggest that informed policy development and implementation are essential to improve nutrition outcomes in sub-Saharan Africa.
