The article discusses different ways to plan power systems when using renewable energy, which can be unpredictable. Three main methods are explained: stochastic programming, robust optimization, and distributionally robust optimization. These methods help deal with uncertainties in power generation. The article compares the strengths and weaknesses of each method and suggests future research directions.
