The research explores how fake news, or hoax news, can be harmful when spread through social media and technology. By analyzing the dangers of hoax news from the perspective of the Qur'an, the study aims to raise awareness about the negative impacts of misinformation. Using a descriptive qualitative method, the researchers found that irresponsible use of social media and technology leads to the spread of hoax news, causing slander and misunderstandings. The study highlights the importance of being cautious and critical when consuming news to prevent the harmful effects of fake information.
