Farmers Boost Crop Yields and Nutrition with Organic-Inorganic Fertilizer Combo
The study looked at how different ways of managing nutrients affect the uptake of micronutrients by rice plants. They tested using inorganic fertilizers, organic fertilizers, and a mix of both over two growing seasons. The results showed that applying 100% recommended dose of fertilizer with ZnSO4 and farmyard manure increased micronutrient uptake significantly. This was as effective as using 100% fertilizer with ZnSO4 alone. Using a mix of 50% NPK and 50% N through farmyard manure was also effective. Overall, the combination of 100% recommended fertilizer with ZnSO4 and farmyard manure was the best for micronutrient uptake in rice plants.
