Revolutionizing Workspaces: Discovering Comfortable Postures for Non-Desk Settings
The study looked at how people use tablets while sitting on a sofa instead of at a desk. Participants tried different ways of sitting and lying down with cushions to find comfortable positions for watching videos, typing, and drawing. They found that different activities required different postures and support setups. Unlike sitting at a desk, the body and tablet supported each other in unique ways. This research suggests new ideas for designing furniture and technology for working without a traditional desk setup.
