Stomatal conductance, transpiration, and photosynthesis in peach seedlings decreased as leaf water potential dropped. This happened when the seedlings were grown in pots with sandy loam soil and controlled conditions. The growth and transpiration of the seedlings were mainly affected by stomatal closure when water stress started.
