Unsafe Turbulence Levels Detected at Soekarno-Hatta Airport in Jakarta
The study looked at wind data from Soekarno-Hatta Airport to understand turbulence in the atmosphere. They found that turbulence occurred about 53% of the time, with stable and unstable conditions affecting it. The wind speed at the airport ranged from 0 to 20 meters per second, with some speeds exceeding safe levels for flights. However, the wind direction and speed changes were not significant. Factors like the Southern Oscillation Index and Madden–Julian Oscillation did not affect the aviation parameters.
