Improving Health in Ghana: Targeted Policies for Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene
Improving population health in Ghana's Hohoe Municipality requires better water, sanitation, and hygiene practices. A study of 403 households found that 16.4% practiced open defecation, but 58% had good hygiene habits. Most had improved drinking water sources, but many lacked private toilets. This shows the need for policies to enhance hygiene practices and access to clean water in the area.
