Biofertilizer boosts cauliflower yield, reduces need for chemical fertilizers by 25%
The study looked at how adding a type of biofertilizer called Azotobacter chroococcum to cauliflower plants affects their growth and yield. Different amounts of nitrogen and biofertilizer were tested on the plants. The results showed that using the full dose of nitrogen with biofertilizer led to the tallest plants, the most leaves, and the biggest cauliflower heads. This treatment also gave the highest yield of cauliflower. The biofertilizer helped reduce the need for chemical fertilizers by about 25%. Overall, using biofertilizers like Azotobacter chroococcum can improve soil fertility and crop production in a more sustainable way.
