Banana plants thrive with hydroquinone in charcoal-ultisol mix, boosting nitrogen levels.
The study looked at how banana plants grow and store nitrogen after being exposed to a chemical called hydroquinone in a mix of charcoal and soil. They used different combinations of charcoal and soil to see how it affected plant growth. The results showed that plants grew taller and produced more leaves when grown in higher percentages of charcoal. The plants also stored more nitrogen in their leaves when grown in soil with more charcoal.
