Stronger inter-linkages between livestock and crops lead to sustainable farming systems.
The study looked at how different parts of dairy farming in Mizoram are connected. They used a special model to see how livestock and crops work together. They found that livestock had a bigger impact on crops than the other way around. The farming system that included dairy, crops, poultry, and pigs had the strongest connections. This shows that all parts of farming are linked, and we need to think about the whole system to make it sustainable.
