The researchers studied how CuSe breaks down when heated. They used special equipment to analyze this process and found that the most likely way CuSe decomposes is through a mechanism called the R3 model. They also calculated that it takes 12.344 J of energy for CuSe to decompose and that it decomposes at a rate of 0.0030 g per square centimeter per minute.
