The article shows that a simple model of the European Union can capture the important effects of European economic integration. By using the EViews program and data from the European Commission, the researchers evaluated the impact of the Single Market, the Euro, and EU enlargements. The study focused on Austria's EU membership and also looked at integration effects for other EU countries.
