This study introduces a way to track how much energy machines use and figure out where energy is wasted by mistakes or equipment issues. They compare the actual energy used to the least needed for a process. A smart computer program predicts the lowest energy needed from past patterns. They explore 2 ways to monitor energy use – one involves setting specific energy limits for each process step. The other way creates energy patterns to analyze different process factors. The method can handle simple and complex energy relationships in processes. A bonus is that the process can automatically make a model for minimum energy use.
