Severe soil degradation in Ethiopia threatens food security and environmental health
Soil fertility is crucial for growing food, but many soils in Ethiopia are not fertile enough due to erosion and lack of nutrients. This can harm soil health and affect agriculture. The main problems are lack of nitrogen and phosphorus in the soil. To improve soil quality and sustainability, interventions are needed to restore fertility and resilience. More research is necessary to understand how to manage soil better for the benefit of humans, animals, and the environment.
