Food traceability is crucial in reducing food loss in the supply chain. By using game theory, the study analyzed different strategies of stakeholders to understand how they impact traceability. The complexity of the food chain means that decisions made by one player affect others, making traceability more challenging with more players involved. The research identified factors that can either increase or decrease the likelihood of adopting traceability in a food supply chain.
