Boosting Bean Growth: Nitrogen Doses Enhance Pod Properties Significantly
The researchers studied how different amounts of phosphorus and nitrogen affect the characteristics of bean pods. They used Göksun bean plants and applied various doses of these nutrients. They found that higher nitrogen doses improved pod length, width, and seed weight. Phosphorus doses mainly affected pod diameter. The interaction between phosphorus and nitrogen significantly influenced pod number, length, weight, and seed properties. Overall, applying 4 kg da-1 or more of nitrogen had a positive impact on bean pod quality.
