Discovering the Hidden Depths of Karst Caves in Ajloun Governorate
The article explores the shapes and sizes of karst caves in Ajloun, focusing on how different types of rocks affect their formation. By studying nine caves, the researchers found that only Calcite and Dolomite rocks contribute to cave formation in the region. The caves vary in size, with lengths ranging from 3.40 to 30 meters and ceiling heights from 1.72 to 9.10 meters. The study highlights the differences in shapes and dimensions of these caves, showing the unique characteristics of each one.
