Climate change and human activities drive vegetation shifts in Yellow River Basin
The study explored what factors influence vegetation growth in the Upper Yellow River Basin from 2000 to 2020. By analyzing satellite images and vegetation data, researchers found that factors like rainfall, elevation, soil type, and temperature affect vegetation distribution. The vegetation coverage in the area improved overall, but worsened in some parts. Human activities and natural factors both impact vegetation growth, with natural factors playing a bigger role. To maintain and improve the ecological environment, it is important to continue projects that promote vegetation growth and increase the efficiency of water use by plants.
