Drinking Water Crisis Averted: Hanjiang-Weihe River Diversion Ensures Safe, Clean Supply.
The water quality of the Hanjiang River to Weihe River water diversion project is crucial for drinking water safety in China. A study analyzed water quality data from 2017 to 2019 to understand the water environment characteristics. Results show that water quality varies by season and location, with higher levels of certain pollutants in the flood season. Overall, water quality is good and meets Class II standards. Tributaries have better water quality than the mainstream, and nitrogen levels are key indicators. Factors like rainfall, temperature, and human activities affect water quality in the area. This study provides important data for maintaining and improving the ecological environment of the water source areas.
