The article examines important research areas in different regions of the Czech Republic in 2015 and 2020. By analyzing 11 indicators, the researchers identified three key factors related to research potential. They found that Czech regions with higher research potential also had higher economic levels and spent more on research and development compared to their GDP. These results can help guide the development of regional R&D strategies in the Czech Republic.
