Gender inequalities in time use intensify socio-economic disparities in India.
The study looked at how men and women in India spend their time on work, household chores, and caregiving. Men spend more time on work, while women spend more time on chores and caregiving. Women with less education and lower income do more household chores, while educated women with more children spend more time caregiving. This shows that there are gender differences in how time is allocated for different activities in India.
