The researchers studied how different planting dates affect the growth and yield of tomato plants in a polyhouse. They planted tomatoes on six different dates and found that planting on August 25 resulted in the earliest flowering and highest fruit yield. Plants from this date also had the most fruits per plant and the heaviest individual fruits. Overall, tomatoes planted on August 25 had the best yield compared to other planting dates.
