Regional economic convergence in Brazil and EU slow, but steady.
Regional economic convergence has been studied in Brazil and the European Union from 2002 to 2019. Both regions have experienced some level of convergence, but it has been slow, especially in the European Union. The research looked at different types of convergence, like σ-convergence and absolute convergence, to understand how regions within these economies are growing closer together economically. The findings suggest that despite differences, both Brazil and the European Union are working towards reducing economic inequalities through public policies.
