Climate change is affecting the boreal forests in Siberia, Russia. Researchers studied the forests from 1985 to 2015 and found that the total forest area increased, especially in the high-latitude zone. Broad-leaved forests grew faster than coniferous forests in the medium-latitude zone. Temperature, not precipitation, was the main climate factor driving these changes.
