New WRF Model Configuration Improves Weather Forecast Accuracy for Poland.
The researchers wanted to find the best way to set up a weather forecasting model for Poland using the WRF model. They used data from meteorological stations and a global weather model to run simulations. By comparing different settings, they found the most accurate configuration for predicting weather conditions. The model with the best settings had an average error of 0.8°C when forecasting air temperature. This study was supported by the National Science Center.
