The article shows how using integrated reporting (IR) can improve sustainability reporting (SR) based on Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standards. By analyzing reports from two Italian financial companies, the study found that IR enhances economic and environmental sustainability information, but not as much for social sustainability. This research helps identify the benefits and areas for improvement in connecting SR and IR.
