The article explores how Malaysian architectural firms are adapting to new technology called Building Information Modelling (BIM) to improve their design and construction processes. The researchers identified six key BIM capabilities that firms are developing, such as Design Authoring and Collaboration. They found that firms in different stages of BIM implementation focus on different capabilities, with more advanced firms prioritizing Design Visualisation and Collaboration. The study suggests that Malaysian architectural practices should aim to enhance their BIM capabilities to stay competitive in the industry.
