Dairy farming can contribute to climate change due to greenhouse gas emissions. Researchers in Romania used the Cool Farm Tool to assess emissions from a dairy farm with 65 cows. They found that the cows' burps and manure were the main sources of emissions. Lactating cows released more gases than heifers. By changing the cows' diet and managing manure better, the farm could lower its emissions. The study showed that small changes in farming practices can help reduce greenhouse gas emissions in dairy farming, providing a way to address climate change concerns.
