New sorghum genotypes promise higher yields and stability for farmers.
Researchers studied nine different types of sorghum plants to see how well they grew in different environments. They found that some plants produced more grain and fodder than others, with two types, SVD 0107 and JP 1-1-5, showing the best stability and high yields. Another type, DSV 4, had lower stability for grain yield. Overall, the study showed that certain sorghum genotypes can be good for both grain and fodder production.
