Transforming buildings into net-zero energy marvels: A 4-year payback plan revealed.
The researchers studied how to turn regular buildings into ones that use almost no energy and emit very little carbon. They used special software to figure out how much energy buildings use and to suggest ways to save energy like using renewable sources. By following these suggestions, the buildings could use much less energy and have a score of 47.1 out of 100 for energy performance. It was also found that the suggested changes could pay for themselves in about 4.24 years.
