Dehumanization research must consider cultural, social, and institutional contexts
The article suggests that we should pay more attention to three key aspects of dehumanization. Firstly, we need to understand the cultural beliefs that shape how we see others as less than human. Secondly, our social relationships play a big role in how we dehumanize others. Lastly, we should look at how organizations and institutions contribute to dehumanization. By studying these areas more closely and working together across different fields, we can better understand and address the harmful effects of dehumanization in society.
