Revolutionizing transportation choices: New model predicts commuter behavior with precision
Researchers have developed new models for decision-making that consider people may not always pay full attention when making choices. These models were applied to commuting mode choices in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area. The models improved the accuracy of predicting choices, with the RI-nested logit model performing the best. This model can better capture how different factors influence our decisions, even when they change in different directions.
