Water scarcity in Iran is a big problem due to climate change. A new model was created to study how water, energy, food, land, and climate are all connected. The model showed that there is a huge gap between water supply and demand in Iran, leading to a water crisis. Climate change is making the problem worse by increasing water demand. Both supply and demand changes are needed to fix the water crisis. The study suggests that Iran needs to rethink how it manages its water resources to avoid a worsening crisis.
